Working out a quantity
Supplied in 3 m lengths, 30 pieces to a pack, so one pack is 90 linear metres. Set the joint positions during setting-out, then take the quantity from the number of joints rather than from the wall length.
Where it is used
Mid-wall joints on runs longer than a single board, changes of finish between two ZICO codes, and the junction where new panelling meets existing work.
Choosing this over the alternatives
Unlike the end cap, which closes an open edge, this profile covers a joint with material on both sides of it.
Specifying a deliberate balance joint every few metres is usually cheaper than demanding millimetre-perfect setting-out across a 20 m wall.
